Introducing the new 2023 Aprilia RSV4 1100…

Subjected to rigorous comparative testing on tracks around the world the RSV4 proved its mettle time and time again. No surprise, given Aprilia’s racing experience, but it continues to evolve, with new features such as integrated aerodynamic winglets, a new electronics package that includes advanced APRC and a double fairing that improves aerodynamic efficiency.

When you add in the 217 horsepower, improved torque and the hallmark Aprilia chassis, it’s fair to say that there is only one clear contender if you’re looking for a bike that delivers unbeatable performance.

The RSV4 is much more than a pair of wheels and a powerful engine. The culmination of an ambitious project undertaken by the Aprilia Racing Division and adopting the very best available technology, it features integrated aerodynamic winglets, improved aerodynamic efficiency, 217 horsepower and more torque than ever, all seamlessly combined on the signature Aprilia chassis. This is a true masterpiece that is destined to send your pulse racing the moment you set your eyes on it and will have you whooping with exhilaration every time you touch the throttle.

The newest evolutions of the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory feature limited edition liveries that accentuate elevated aerodynamics, ergonomics and aesthetics powered by an industry-leading high-performance 65-degree V4 engine

Aprilia USA has revealed new versions of its category leading superbike and hypernaked, the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory, celebrated for their famous 65-degree narrow V4 platform derived from championship winning experience in World Superbike, now with a new limited edition colorway for both models.

The new V4 models capitalize on a culmination of studious efforts in applied aerodynamics. Significant time spent in a wind tunnel has led to a shape and aesthetic with an ultra-modern look and extremely low aerodynamic resistance. This careful design presents significant performance benefits at high speeds with increases in airbox pressure and downforce.

Along with the aerodynamics, the new V4 Factory models have entirely new and improved ergonomics to maximize rider comfort. The newly designed fuel tanks and saddle allow a rider to fit perfectly with the fairings while still allowing a comfortable amount of onboard space for a more natural and relaxed riding position.

The revamped 1,099cc V4 engine of the RSV4 Factory is stronger than ever and is the most powerful ever built by Aprilia, with an incredible 217 horsepower, while the more upright Tuono V4 makes an impressive 175 horsepower thanks to its 1,077cc V4.

Both models include the new six-axis Marelli 11MP ECU, full ride-by-wire throttle and refined APRC operating system. Along with the introduction of multi-level engine braking control, both Factory models feature six riding modes, three for the track and three for the road (three of which are customizable modes). These riding modes allow best-fit settings for traction control, wheelie control, engine braking and ABS to be calibrated at the touch of a button. Both the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory come fitted with forged aluminum wheel rims, a semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension system and Brembo Stylema brakes.

The RSV4 and Tuono V4 standout thanks to a triple LED front headlight unit with perimeter DRL lights that showcase the signature Aprilia sportbike look. Also included are Aprilia’s cornering lights, a feature that allows for increased visibility while turning by utilizing supplementary lights to illuminate the inside of a turn.

Lightweight yet powerfulIn the previous range, the RR version sported an Aprilia 1000-cc, 201-horsepower V4, but the new RSV4 and RSV4 Factory ramp up the power to 1100 cc. We’re talking about the world’s first mass-produced high-performance narrow V 4-cylinder and the most powerful and revolutionary engine ever built by Aprilia. With its complete electronics system and compact, lightweight structure, this is a truly unique and remarkable bike.

A winner in every senseThe expertise developed and honed by the Aprilia Racing Division on tracks the world over finds a home in the RSV4, offering its riders the chance to experience the same thrills as those who have been in the saddle of some of the most powerful bikes of all time. The RSV4 takes another leap forward with advanced electronics, a Euro 5-engine and a dynamic, aggressive design that makes it the most coveted bike of any self-respecting biker.

Make yourself comfortableThe shape of the new RSV4, inspired by the revolutionary RS 660, makes for a significantly reduced aerodynamic resistance coefficient with a notable jump in performance at high speed. By better isolating the head and shoulders, riders benefit from an 11% improvement in protection from the air, while the frontal design increases air pressure on the airbox by 7%, delivering greater engine performance.

There’s a reason it’s called a superbikeThe Aprilia RSV4 is the only superbike that allows you to adjust the position of the engine on the frame, the angle of the steering head, the swingarm pivot and rear end height, while of course, as you would expect, all suspension setups. Just like a real racing bike.

Lighter than everThe new swingarm draws on the same design technology as the frame, but with a simplified reinforced lower brace, with just three soldered elements instead of the previous seven, delivering a saving of 600 grams of unsprung weight.

Power and comfortThe new design pays particular attention to ergonomics and the introduction of a new fuel tank, together with a 9 mm reduction in height of both the new seat and footrest pedals all make for an improved configuration with the fairing, a more relaxed and natural riding position even for tall riders, and more space in general.

217 horsepower, zero compromiseThe RSV4 has always sought to deliver an authentic experience that is as close as possible to Aprilia’s racing bikes, with no compromises or half measures, and the RSV4 Factory is no exception. Maintaining a mighty 217 horsepower, but moving from 122 Nm at 11000 rpm to 125 Nm at 10500 rpm, this Euro 5-compliant bike is not just a superbike, but a superstar.

Winning formThe latest model sees a dramatic change to its swingarm, now lighter and with a reinforced lower brace. Inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP used in MotoGP, this innovation reduces masses and increases the stability of the rear end during acceleration.

Daytime Running LightsIn keeping with Aprilia’s lighting approach on sport bikes, the RSV4 is equipped with a triple LED front headlight unit, featuring perimeter DRLs and “bending lights” function, where the auxiliary lights increase visibility when cornering by illuminating the inside of a turn.

Continuous evolutionHorsepower remains at an impressive 217 at 13000 rpm, already hard to beat, but it now meets the rigid Euro 5 criteria and breaks the 305 km/h barrier at top speed. The new Magneti Marelli ECU 11MP control system and a lighter exhaust with reduced thermal inertia further contribute to lowering emissions.

Team work at its bestThe RSV4 Factory sports the outstanding Öhlins Smart EC2.0 semi-active suspension system, which has been fine-tuned through a team effort involving both their engineers and the crack squad from Noale. Tested on the toughest tracks including Imola and Mugello until both teams were completely satisfied with the results, the new and improved system delivers a significant improvement in both performance and that elusive, but hard to describe, riding “feeling”.

Suited to any riding styleThe Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system makes it a breeze to customise and calibrate the shock absorbers and fork, with a choice of semi-active and manual mode, both easy to activate via buttons on the handlebar. Further personalisation options come in the form of 3 maps that regulate the suspension in different ways.

Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 FactoryThe RSV4 is also available in a Factory option. Common to both is the revamped V4 1099cc engine, but the Factory version sports standard elements such as forged aluminium wheel rims, an Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system and Brembo Stylema brake callipers.
